Transition to Renewable Energy with a Solar Power Plant in Mersin

TB Sewtech Turkey and Toyota Boshoku Turkey have inaugurated a solar power plant in Mersin's Erdemli district as part of their commitment to environmental sustainability. This project will significantly contribute to the company's goal of becoming carbon neutral in production by transitioning to renewable energy sources.

The Plant Will Meet the Company's Energy Needs

The newly established solar power plant will enable Toyota Boshoku Turkey and TB Sewtech Turkey facilities to meet their energy consumption entirely from solar energy. This will help the company reduce its dependence on fossil fuels, minimize its environmental impact, and transition to a more sustainable production process.

Toyota Boshoku Takes a Leading Role in Global Operations

With this investment, Toyota Boshoku Turkey and TB Sewtech Turkey have become the first production facilities within Toyota Boshoku Corporation's global operations to source their energy entirely from an off-site plant. This development reinforces the company's pioneering role in sustainability and sets an example for the transition to renewable energy worldwide.

Thanks to TBT/TBSTR Stakeholders

TBT and TBSTR officials emphasized the critical role of solar energy in achieving environmental sustainability goals and thanked all stakeholders who contributed to the realization of this significant investment.
